Things to do when visiting Cornell in August

I'll be visiting the campus in Ithaca some time in August with my parents. I already signed up for an undergrad Arts & Science Info Session, and am going to go on the tour.

What else do you think I should do when on campus? I was thinking of perhaps speaking to a professor or someone one in the Economics department (that's the major I want to go into), or maybe schedule an interview with an admissions officer...

Which one do you suggest and how would I go about it?

Cornell does not conduct interviews for Arts & Science - make sure you are not planning on visiting August 21 or after - move-in and orientation - very hectic time

but would it be possible to speak to someone in the department though?

I recommend you visit the dairy bar and get some Cornell ice cream :)

Thanks! My family loves ice cream so of course we’ll try it :D

sleep! theres no where in cornell worth visiting

I didn’t necessarily mean places to visit… What about things that could help me in the admissions process? (like speaking to a prof, etc) anymore suggestions?

if you go later in august, perhaps u could sit in on a class. Though u wont get much out of it cuz its the beginning of classes. August really is the wrong time to visit.
