Hi there!

I was deferred from my ED school back in December and I'm thinking now would be a good time to follow up with the regional rep on what I've been up to! Can you folks tell me if listing the stuff below is a good idea?

National Merit Finalist (I'm 99% sure of this since almost everyone advances as long as they submit their application, right? eek)

Presidential Scholar (automatic qualification for 800/800 scorers...?)

New part-time job at pet store (relevant to EC's, major)

Snippet of this year's research abstract

Info about my volunteer activities (relevant to major)

Possible leadership position (captaincy?)

I didn't do anything to get the two awards besides score well on some standardized tests, but I'd love to include them if it doesn't make me look redundant. And are the other things "worthy" of including? I know they don't seem like very much...but I don't think I'll be able to scrape much more together between now and decision day.

Is there anything else I should add besides reiterating the fact that this is indeed my #1 school? Also, when would be the right time to send such a letter?

Thanks so much! (hopefully these achievements will somewhat balance out my subpar midyear)
