megaman123: Robbery is wrong - robbing Peter to pay for Paul is not okay.

neverborn,

Sorry, but the whole "robbery" analogy is tenuous at best. If that's the case, then EVERYTHING paid for with taxes is some immoral robbery-based project.

That would include the military, roads, hospitals, and other essential services.

Or I could hold a belief that all forcible taxation is wrong.

However, since I know forcible taxation will never end: I'd rather have Constitutionally provided for services like roads and the military than inefficent bureaucratic bottom feeding socialized healthcare.

neverborn,

Forcible taxation is not wrong. You use the services, pay for part of your pie.

Constitutionally provide for services? It's called Section 8, clause 1:

"The Congress shall have Power To lay and collect Taxes, Duties, Imposts and Excises, to pay the Debts and provide for the common Defence and general Welfare of the United States; but all Duties, Imposts and Excises shall be uniform throughout the United States;"

I don't see socialized healthcare at all in section 8.

Certain services are fine, others are not.
