things u hate

thank you Jusgimmethegun !~ :)

having to write a research paper and not being able to find enough good sources

I hate when someone scores higher than me on a test or essay and they rub it in and gloat and generally freak out about it. They act like I naturally get high grades with no studying or any work involved (yeah right!). Then, if they happen to score higher than me, they rub it in my face and act like I'm going to go cry about it. But they are wrong--I don't care. I don't mind if they scored higher than me at all, because obviously they worked hard and it paid off, and I didn't study or made a mistake or something. I do mind when they act like it is Christmas come early. Here's a sample conversation:

Them: Yesssssssssssssss I got a 100 on the math test? What'd you get what'd you get?
Me: An 86. *
Them: *OMG OMG I scored higher than JTC007 *Everyone, I got a better grade than JTC007! I'm so smart!

Me: Well, good job...you deserved that score.
Them: (oblivious to my compliment) That test was so easy!

Please note that I'm not bitter about getting a lower grade, but instead bitter about the fact that people feel like they can rub it in my face if I happen to score lower than them, but if I could never (and would never) do the same to them. I always try to be modest about my grades, and I wish that if my classmates do well on a test, they celebrate without using me as a benchmark.

And its not even like I always get perfect grades...I struggle just like everyone else and really work hard for my GPA. I find it insulting when people act like my GPA just pops out of thin air and I have nothing to do with it.

Wow, that came off as really bitter and resentful. I get really worked up about this issue...I'm guessing its not just me that experiences it.

yeah my friend rubbed in the fact that i got a 95 on a calculus test and he aced it

I totally agree with the rubbing in. Although for me, I do get annoyed not only because they're rubbing it in my face but because I probably didn't do as well as I'd hoped. I hate that feeling of disapointment.

Okay, I came up with more extreme dislikes:

-when I make stupid mistakes on tests and then feel like the teacher thinks I'm stupid (I always, always feel this way)
-being intimidated by my English teacher and therefore cannot open my mouth to participate in class (I seriously clamp my mouth shut every time he's nearby)
-loud and sudden noises
-the awkwardness of deciding whether to greet a teacher or not and wondering if I'm being rude when I don't (I just have so many issues with looking teachers in the eyes, speaking to them, etc)
-borderline term grades

i hate the sound of the first scoop of ice being put into a bucket. it just gets to me.

on a similar note, i hate taking the first scoop out of a new box of ice cream.

i also hate that it's 12:10 and i havent started on my homework yet because of the damn internet.

hahaha you should work on that. and congrats on your upcoming 1500th post.

people who don't cover their mouths when they sneeze/cough

guys who walk around with their collars up

girls who are as dumb as a rock and think every guy wants them

people who try to present a radical idea in a class discussion of a novel when
the idea was clearly explained, verbatim on one of the pages

people who blatantly try to walk "cool" by voluntarily overtwisting their
shoulders

people who say they don't study but in reality study more than anyone else

people who pretend to be pot smokers

freshman who are slobering over each other in the middle of the hallway

people who say they're the nicest people you'll ever meet yet scream at everyone that walks in their path

That's it for now.

People who say something completely obnoxious and say, "Juuuust kidding!"

People who know everyone else's business.

People who brag about their calculus grades to me when I'm taking Statistics. Whatever, I'm a humanities girl.

People who are extremely fake. I hate people who aren't real. I know some of those, yep.

People who wear really tight clothes so that you can see the rolls of fat.

People who wear low rise jeans and when they sit down there's massive ass cleavage for all to see. And they don't care. At all.

People who are extremely anal and don't know how to embrace life at ALL.

Rabid prolifers.

Haverford High School's librarians.

People at my school who are applying to UPenn for NO GOOD REASON.

"People who wear really tight clothes so that you can see the rolls of fat."

Yeah, not so fond of that either. Yesterday in the gym locker room, a girl was examining herself in the mirror. She always wears really tight clothing and shirts that barely cover her midriff...despite the fact that her stomach protrudes really obviously over the edge of her low-rise jeans.

-the fact that the more i like a girl the more power i give her over my life

^I'm the same way with guys! Grrr...I hate it!
