Most of us are about to start our college life and this might probably be the best time in ou lives. But,still what are the things one should do(or not do) in college so that when the time comes for grad/med school, one will be in the top ranks and have a good chance of getting in pretty much where he/she might please?

Go to class. Study.

Basically, all the same stuff you did in HS to get good grades.

Procrastination will destroy you.

Don’t hang out with friends too much. Take care of your work first.

Work hard then play hard.

Take a class or two over the Summer so that you can have a lighter workload during the Fall and Spring Semesters.

Use pickaprof.com (site may or may not have your school)

Set out a one or two hour period roughly the same time each day where you’ll do nothing but school work.

Uh… get good grades? Do activities you enjoy? What did you think the answer to your question would be?

Seriously, go to your professor’s office hours. You’ll save yourself personal embarassment when you ask for recs later- if you don’t, the professor won’t remember who the hell you are and end up writing a more generic letter.
