Things your roommate should know about you...

Ask about religion (if it's important to you--it's not for everyone) and whether or not you guys can agree to disagree or avoid religious discussions if it becomes a problem. My (hopefully temporary) roomie is Christian, but she's along the lines of an agonstic, lapsed Catholic who's searching.

I'm a Pagan on the Goddess path, and my major is Religious Studies, so religion is a big deal to me. We've talked about it already, and have simply agreed to disagree on some stuff.

Also...this isn't for everyone, but you may want to mention both sexiling and your sexual orientation. One of my friends has a roomie who wants to bring home different guys a lot of the time, but thinks it's gross when my friend brings home women (she's bisexual). They're trying to work it out, but someone's probably going to move out.

Discuss anything else you think is important (study habits, sleeping habits, meetings) and your likes/dislikes (on music, movies, books, hobbies).

My current roommate and I got thrown together because they messed up my roommate survey, where I was supposed to room with an old friend. So we both know the situation's temporary and while we're not very similar, we can live together for seven days before roommate change.

Talk about having people in the room. Like if someone is studying, do they mind. Do they sleep with the tv on? Are they clean or messy? Do they like to study with the tv on? Where do they like to study?

I have a fan addiction. My roommate will need to know that, and I am PRAYING they don't sleep with the tv on or mind a fan in February.

Hmm.. my roommate and I seem to have alike music preferences (asian music.. mostly korean.. I listen to alot of Japanese too though) so I'm hoping she won't mind me listening to it.

I have music addiction and I must have it on @ all times I'm on the computer... (at least they are various songs.. alot of songs on my computer) and I have expensive bass speakers. I will most likely have the bass down really low, but VERY RARELY and when i'm watching movies I'll turn it up.. (because i had it for 2 years and I couldn't really use it... so I REALLY REALLY WANT TO USE IT every now and then) I'll wear headphones when i need to.

One thing I hope she won't mind is... I procrastinate like everybody else and will be doing homework very late at night. And I'm not going to go out of the room most likely because i have a desktop and I don't want to stop the flow once I get started. But of course, when she has to do something important in the middle of the night, I'll understand too....

I never thought abt the temperature issue. I personally don't have too many issues(or so I like to think...). I can sleep in noise and light but I'll defi have to talk over plenty of things once I meet my room mate.
