Things

What's the most impressive thing you've ever done? (You can really tell I'm bored, can't you?) Like . . . gotten an A in the hardest class at your school, went to Nationals for something. Stupid thread, I know. Just bear with me, here.

I like the thread title!

Possibly scoring the highest in the state for two consecutive years on both portions of the JHU CTY test in 5th and 6th grades. Or maybe going to Nationals in the Spelling Bee. Wow this sounds really boa****l doesn't it? I don't mean it to sound like that.

What about you prettyckitty

Edit: They bleeped out the S-T-F-U in b-o-a-s-t-f-u-l!

Um, okay. Why would they edit out boast-ful? Not really a curse word, if ask me.
It's all right to sound boast-full, Tom. Thanks, I like the thread name, too. Anyone else? I was really tired when I wrote this and probably out of my mind, but now I'm kind of interested. :) Parents apply as well.

What they heck, they did it with mine, too. I changed it.

It's because the 4th through 7th letters of it form an abbreviation for a phrase that uses obscenity.

hmmm this thread is actually stumping me but i really want to answer...

i'll think of something.

Excellent. Come on, I'm curious.

When I was at summer camp I played on an all-star team against our big rival camp. 7th and last inning I led off in the bottom of the inning and got a single (ok it was probably an error). Stole second. Stole third. And yes, stole home to win the game.

Who's better than me? Nobody, that's who.

Good one, fun is fun. Come, let's keep this thread going.

prettyckitty -- When you get to be my age, there are all kinds of things I've done both large & small that impress me (plus far too much I'd rather forget!).

You've said you come from a family of Professors, so here is one you might appreciate. When I was studying undergraduate economics, I got an A+ in International Economics made possible by a paper I did for a well-known Professor whose specialty was International Economics. Back in those days, it was rare to get an A+. What stunned me was that years later, this Professor won the Nobel Prize. http://www.robertmundell.net/ Instant lifetime bragging rights!

I've never gotten lower than 99th percentile on the reading standardized test, or lower than 98th on the math. It's not that impressive, but....oh well.

I...err...well...

Ha, me too..

"UMMMMM........"

ummm.... i lost by one point in the state wrestling championship (but i made the stupid punk cry :))

...i'm probably most proud of that, just because i really had to work in wrestling.

I know stuff. :p

Good one, Choas.
Come on, blairt. You've talked about stuff you were good at on chances forums before. What about horsebackriding?

gotten an E on a piece of work at exeter :P [i.e. 0%].
lol, much harder than one would think ^.^

also know all the lyrics to the song "unwritten"...
actually, quite proud of that fact

You guys are hillarious! Wonder what D'yer would have to say. I'd love to hear from him!

Getting into Choate. :) Second best though, would be getting an 100 average in French in one quarter in seventh grade, and an 100 average in History in a quarter the same year. And maybe even better would be reciting Pi for 2 years in a row a my school and winning the award. (501 digits at most; 231 the first year).

What I would give for that E, Blee... :D

Being able to move anywhere, enroll in school the next day, and walk out with a group of friends who I will stay in contact with in the future. Being able to let go of these things without resentment and happily moving on.
