Think i could get in????

I am going to be a senior, i currently have a 3.5 GPA, have a 1700 Sat w/writting. I have a lot of extracurricular activities like, Varisty all 4 years on Softball and Basketball teams (Captain), travel ball all 4 years, worked as a lifeguard for 2 summers, worked at a resturant for 2 years, volunteer work with the poor, babysit, worked at church nursery, did vacational bible voluteer stuff and some other things....I have taken 3 honors courses and 1 AP course, and my high school is a GOOD high school.

No, your SAT is way too low. The average SAT for the class of 2013 is a 1300 ( I heard from inside sources as I go to Fordham) and you need almost all advanced courses. And when you look up info about colleges make sure you look on the actual colleges websites because other interent sites have the wrong information. Sorry buddy…

I think you have a shot. Apply and find out; I’m sure you’ll do fine.

If you want to apply, do it!

Fordham’s class statistics for 2013 can be found here: [Class Profile](http://www.fordham.edu/admissions/undergraduate_admiss/applying/class_profile_28473.asp) .

The key thing to remember for scores is that they’re average (for GPA) and middle 50% for the two standardized tests- Fordham accepts people both over and under those ranges. Another thing to remember is that they look at everything- scores, gpa, essay, courses taken, extra cirriculars, where you came from, etc.

You’ll never know if you don’t try!

And joefow- 1300? That’s a 100 pt jump from last year’s…Wow.

i got in last year and my SATs were a bit higher…you definately have a chance…Fordham does NOT have an average of 1300…it may be a bit higher than 1200…but that point is thats just average…50%, they accept students higher and lower. Just give it a go, and call admissions or something also to check status, get in some good rec’s

A M/V score of 1300 does seem too high. It’s prob over the 1200 it was last year, but I just don’t see it being 1300.

I think u could get in

go for it =)

It’s going to be very hard for you to get in unless you are going to play varsity sports for Fordham on a scholarship. Try bringing those SAT scores to AT LEAST 1800+ (math and verbal 1200) in order to be considered.

Joe, It’s not 1300. It’s around 1250. And Fordham RH-LC, that link is for the class of 2012. I have a very strong feeling next year’s class SAT avg will be very close to 1300.

For 2013 it was 1240. And that link was for 2013 when I clicked on it.
[Class of 2013 Arrives at Fordham](http://www.fordham.edu/campus_resources/enewsroom/inside_fordham/september_8_2009/news/class_of_2013_arrive_72650.asp)

yea 1240. Acceptance rate went up to 49% though for class of 2013. HUGE disappointment. Kind of disgusting for a top tier school like Fordham. I am assuming yield rate is going down as more and more people cannot afford the education, so Fordham needs to accept more people I guess to make sure they can fill up the class.
