think of LITERARY examples for these prompts...

Has today's abundance of information only made it more difficult for us to understand the world around us?

Is acting an essential part of everyday life?

Should society limit people's exposure to some kinds of information or forms of expression?

Do people need to compare themselves with others in order to appreciate what they have?

i'm not good with history or current events. most of my example arsenal is literary. so try these prompts out for literature.

I’m thinking Frankenstein for #3. He had too much information for his own good…

any others?

1 don’t need literary examples, talk about internet, computers, global village etc.

2 P&P, Macbeth, Handmaid’s Tale

3 Handmaid’s Tale, Farenheit 451, Brave New World, any dystopian book to argue “No”

4 P&P, Lots of historical examples I can think of.

You don’t need literary examples for everything, historical or contemporary examples are fine too.

can u give me some good history examples to look up?

All the wars…

goddamn… this essay freaks me out more than any vocab word or passage question. it’s really unpredictable

Lol, the essay is the easiest section to do well on, except the entire math section, which is waaaaaayyyyyyyyyyyy too simple. Just fill up the entire two pages and stay on topic and you will get at least a 10.

the problem with me is this. i know a few books very well: mayor of castderbridge, brave new world, possibly scarlet letter.

i feel like every prompt forces me to lie about what actually happens in the book in order to fit my example into the prompt. i know they can’t grade based on factual accuracy, but i feel like a reader who has read the scarlet letter would look down upon my essay if i made something up.

that’s all that’s making me worry. and the fact that i have very few examples and i don’t know where to start when it comes to researching topics.

IDK.

Of Mice and Men - George / Lennie act positive and try to think they’ll get their farm.
Ragtime - Tateh secretly is very worried and concerned but is always welcoming his daughter with a warm smile.

Frankenstein
