I've been lurking around this forum all day now, so I finally decided to make a post. From what I can gather, it seems that Emory has not posted is online decisions on a weekday for at least the past four years. However, they also seem to like to post their decisions a day after the Ives do, which would mean they'd be posting them this Tuesday. So what do you think? Tomorrow or Tuesday?

Hey, I already received my decision last weekend....

Yeah but you're an international or URM student, right? I think both of those groups got their decisions early.

International students didn't get decisions early, only URMs did.
I'm international. :)

I'm also international. I didn't receive my decision either.

me neither

Neither have I. I really think decisions come tomorrow (or today- time zones - Sunday), they wouldn't want to be in the office when ppl get their decisions.

No, they'd want to be far, far away.

^Lol! :D .

Monday morning after 8AM? any predictions? I heard some people say Tuesday?

For URMs, they sent an e-mail notifying them the day before when their decisions would be posted on OPUS. I think we'll get an e-mail tomorrow about the decisions being posted on OPUS Tuesday.

Haha, well in that case, they better be prepared for some backlash allllll day Tuesday. I mean...I'll bet their office will be bombarded with requests for appeals, questions about enrollment, complaints about financial aid, etc. etc. etc.

Whatever day they post them, it will be after 5pm EST. That way they will have vacated the office. And then they will take the phones off the hook for the next day.

Smart, smart.

Unplugging phones may not look too good for the school image though.

Admission workers going postal over the amount of whiny calls looks worse though...

i think alota of the applicants mite not care by tuesday as they may have been accepted to the ivies, or every other school that already redleased decisions.

That's why they're probably releasing them so late...
to lap up rejects and avoid people accepted.

im thinkin emory will have a very lage waitlist, then they will take only the people that actually want to go off of the waitlist in order to keep their yeild rate high, but i'm just speculatin

so is it really gonna be tomorrow for opus?

aznnincompoop, compared to the other admissions offices I've worked with while applying, Emory's has been the most curt, unhelpful, and hard-to-contact office out of all of them (compared to Vandy[the best by far], UNC, Duke, and random AL state schools).

their fin aid office is also unhelpful, and curt--while Brown couldn't have been more helpful and receptive
