Thinking about Harvard Business School for my MBA...

I was rejected by Harvard earlier this month, but even though I may be rejected from Harvard for my undergraduate, I am still considering applying to Harvard Business School in about 5-7 years.

My current plan is to go to Boston College's CSOM, do well there, get a BBA, get a job, score well on my GMAT, work for a while, and then come back to apply to Harvard Business School.

I know seven years is a long while to stretch it out... but what can I do, besides doing what I have just specified, to increase my chances of getting into HBS?

I also hear that HBS requires no prior work experience, but is work experience recommended if I wish to increase my chances for admission?

Yes, unless you are a top student with serious EC’s, there is little chance of gaining admissions without work experience.

oh dear…

when you get to college, find stuff that you want to be involved in and talk to an advisor.
