Hey how likely is it with a 3.6 overall gpa, exceptional ecs, sat is a 1000 ( my high school record was pretty bad, 3.3) from a ca community college to get into the following schools:

Emory
University of Michigan
NYU
Boston College
George Washington
Bates
Colby
Wesleyan

Thanks for advice

Very unlikely at the LAC's like Wesleyan and Colby and Bates since they accept so few transfers. I would say Boston College and NYU are also probably unlikely. Emory i know is generous with transfers, but it will still be a reach. Michigan is in the 40 percent range, I think if you write awesome essays you could have a shot. I would throw some more mid-range school into the mix since most of your schools are looking for may not be sold that a 3.6 from a cc will relate to a similar gpa at their college, especially with low sats. I assume you are a junior applicant or else I would suggest thinking about retaking the sat. What about schools like Wisconson, and since you are in CA there are great UC's you could look at with a gpa like that and they will ignore your SATs- that will probably be your best bet.

Yes I will be a junior applicant. Yea I'm more interested in Emory and Michigan for out of state schools. As for in state schools, my uc gpa is a 3.71 (major is philosophy) and I applied to Berkeley, UCLA (Tap), and UCSD. So I'm not really worried, I was just wondering what schools out of state I would have a reasonable chance at. I'm actually looking at private universities that do not have grade deflation cuz I want to go law school, hence that is why I'm going to out of state options.
