I want to apply to Stony Brook but my Freshman year GPA was a wreck…with 3 C’s.
Would there be any chance if I got very good grades that I would be able to be accepted into Stony Brook’s Pre-Med Program? That’s what I’ve wanted to do my whole life, and I’m planning to really step my grade up.

You definitely have a chance. If you work hard sophomore and junior year you’ll get in. Stony brook doesn’t specifically have a premed program, you pick any major and you follow the premed track which means you have to take all the classes required for admissions to medical school. For example, I’m double majoring in Spanish and Pharmacology and i’m following the premed track. So don’t think stony brook is more selective towards students who want to do premed .
