I'm into my first month of attending uni, and I absolutely hate it. I live with 3 roommates, and we have nothing in common. My classes are fine, but people and the general atmosphere here is so terrible. Coming from a pretty academically focused background, it's hard to interact with kids who love to party. My roommates started drinking every night since they moved in. My RA doesn't care, and I don't have the patience nor the willpower to take this to a higher level. I just want to call it quits and transfer somewhere else. I want to transfer out mid-semester, but I know that's probably next to impossible. I've made a huge mistake here. I could only probably hold on for a semester. I can't see myself taking this for a year. Help please.

No, you can’t transfer mid-semester, concentrate on finishing with a strong gpa.

You need to check the college websites for schools you’re interested in, some schools don’t take spring transfers and some don’t take transfers spring of fr year. And I’m guessing that deadlines for spring transfers are sometime in the fall.

Finally, give it some time, go out and try different activities. Sometimes expectations and reality don’t coincide exactly, but that doesn’t mean it won’t work.
