I’m an out of state student considering it. I’m just not sure if I want to give up my freshman year for it.
My daughter is attending the FYA program this fall. The first 2 semesters in Valencia and the summer semester in Florence. Check out Facebook, it might give you some insight into the program.
My son is also doing the FYA program. He is planning on doing his first 2 semesters in Valencia and undecided about the summer. I wasn’t aware that there was a facebook group available to the FYA yet. I’ll have to have him look into it.
Have you made your flight arrangements to Valencia yet, where is your son flying from, we are in the Chicago suburbs and will be flying out of ORD. I’m very excited for my D but nervous at the same time.
We have not made any flight arrangements yet. The woman I spoke with in the International dept at FSU recommended that we wait until after 5/1 when she will send out emails with all of the contact information of the students who are going so we may find someone close to us that they can travel with. We are in Massachusetts so I think he would most likely fly out of JFK. I’m super nervous as well and I keep finding several extra expenses so we are not 100% sure that he is doing it now. We have less than 2 weeks to decide…
Good luck to you and your daughter. It sounds like a great opportunity and a small group of students who go so I’m sure our kids will get to know each other very well if they both go.
Are the extra expensed related to the FYA program, if so may I ask what they are? Just wondering if I am missing something! Thanks
