So I visited a college a couple days ago and I found out that they have a Muggle Quidditch team! And I started thinking, "What if I started one in my high school?". Has anyone ever done this, and if so, do you have any tips on starting a bizarre club such as this? And do you think people would actually do this?

I mean, it'd also look good on college apps, right?

Only seen it done at colleges, but that’s SO AWESOME that you want to start one at the high school level. Get the word out and they will come.

i don’t think colleges will be that impressed with it but if you want one at your school then do it

Thanks @cdallao! I actually just asked a friend who’s into Harry Potter if she’d join it, but she said she’d be busy with other commitments. I’m a junior so all of my friends and I are going to be so busy with work and stuff. I have no idea how I’m going to do it. I know I really want to do it because I feel that that’s literally the only thing my school is missing out on. I Googled “high school quidditch” and a lot of schools across the country have teams. So it’s not a new idea.

It would be cool, but you would either need enough members that you could have two teams within the club to play against each other or get another local high school to form a team, so it is not super realistic. That being said apply to lots of colleges that have quidditch teams!

No

Please

The muggles might hurt themselves

Some of my friends have expressed interest in the idea. And I can talk to my friends from other schools about starting a team in their schools. @ArtsyGirl13, Virginia Tech is my top choice and they have a quidditch team so that should be good. :D

What is this I don’t even

Don’t you need magical flying brooms for Quidditch?

@Yakisoba, you hold the broomstick with one hand to serve as a handicap.

Ha!

You mean my fellow CCers can’t fly?

How are they going get into community college?
