Thinking of transferring to NYU or Vassar. Will chance back!

I'm a freshman at Occidental College and I think I might transfer to Vassar or NYU. It's not that I hate Oxy so much as that I think Vassar would be better. I've lived in LA all of my life and I wanted to go out of state but I settled for Occidental for a reason which I don't really understand. Could I get in as a transfer applicant?

So can I get in?

What’s your current college GPA?
Are you on financial aid?
If you are on financial aid odds are low that you would get as much financial aid as a transfer.
Why did you choose Occidental? Have things changed?

I don’t have a college GPA as I’m a first semester freshman, but I think it’ll be something around 3.4. I’m not on financial aid and I don’t plan on being on any, which helps things. I chose Oxy because I didn’t get into the East Coast schools that I wanted to, I got waitlisted to BC, NYU and Bates, but I didn’t visit any of them because I live in California. I got into out of state schools like Reed, Lewis and Clark and University of Puget Sound, I just rejected them for a variety of reasons. I’m prepared to leave all my friends and family behind for the East Coast, so that’s not a problem.
