Congratulations in advance to all of you who have the big day coming Saturday. My eyes are already welling up after reading the information on commencement ceremony activities. The musical tributes will be so moving, I think you will need an extra box of kleenex. Enjoy! And please report in to us when you can.

Thank you jmmom! We are all back from dinner out with the graduate, and now he and his sister are out on the town. I'm not exactly sure how they are going to get up in the morning-we hope to leave the hotel at 7:30 for the 9:30 ceremony. I am sure this will be a graduation like no other! Of course we get to do this again as my son is staying for another year for a one year graduate program, part of a 4+1 for neuroscience.

I will report when we get back home Monday or Tuesday or sooner if the kids want to party in the evening without us old folks!!

My wife and I watched the ceremony online, and yes -- kleenex were necessary.

We watched part, concerneddad. (I had to leave just after the student speaker - to take S to the airport for return to lagniappe. He had come home with mono, but case seems to have been mild and he is happy to be headed back.) Kleenex were necessary for me almost from the beginning. I'm hoping that I can see it non-live today, to catch up on what I missed.
