Third of Total Units PNP or third of semester's units?

In L&S, can you take half of your units for a particular semester P/NP so long as a third of your total units upon graduation aren't P/NP?

What I've recently read was that you can take up to 1/3 of your total units upon graduation as P/NP. As for how many units you can take P/NP in a semester, there is no limit, so hypothetically, you can have a whole semester of P/NP courses.

Do Grad Schools look down upon PNP courses even if they have nothing to do with one's major?

According to the advisers "no"

I can't see how they would, seeing as some classes are only offered P/NP

I certainly hope p/np doesn't count against you for grad schools or else I'd be in trouble.
I had a friend who took all of his breadth requirements that involved reading/writing p/np (he was brilliant in science but not much of a writer). He ended up going to Yale for grad school.

is C- the minimum to pass?
