Third time is the charm for UVA ranking

while Today's Washington Post has a smug article from a Princeton grad about "UVA's public relations office not being able to help itself" (no link because the article isn't worth reading) about Newsweek dubbing UVA one of the new ivies as well as US News and World Report new rankings still keeping UVA in the top 25, it bears noting that the Washington Monthly also ranked UVA as #20 in the nation. There is a whole thread on this in the college search forum, but what is noteworthy is that three disparate ranking systems using different criteria all pretty much ranked UVA the same.

No wonder at Summer orientation they explained that it is not a university but THE university. :)

the washington monthly ranked Texas A&M number5 !!!!!!!!!!!!?????????????????????????????? (add about 50 more question marks, if you will).

that's absolutely ridiculous. LOL. and not only that but it's ranked above UT, COrnell, UVA, Stanford, Duke, Rice, etc. etc. LOL. I can't fricken stop laughing!!!!

I also pointed out some private institutions with asteriks, indicating the school is a Public university.?! Is this article serious?
