Third time sat, 2350...

May is my third time taking the SAT and I got a 2350( 750 on cr). However, my first time was a 2130, second time 2220, so will it hurt my application cuz I took the SAT too many times?

Don’t worry about it.

No use worrying about it.

It is fine to want to do good.

I got 2250 and I am retaking so it is all good

But still, is taking SAT three times way too many? Some top schools, Yale for example, do require all the scores…

I don’t think so. The fact that you took it three times (which really isn’t that many, in the grand scheme of things, it’d be more significant if you had taken it four or five times or thereabouts) would actually probably reflect well on you - it shows your dedication to doing your best, and the fact that you improved each time you took it is great too.

From what I heard, most colleges do not recommend that you take it more than 3 times. I think you’re fine.

3 is, for whatever reason, the maximum number of tries that college admissions are OK with.

I was wondering the same thing as you. I took the SAT’s twice without studying (reallly bad idea) :…i scored around 1850’s. However, i plan on retaking for the third time in october, and after studying this summer i expect a 2250+

Honestly, i didn’t know that some colleges want to look at your testing history, i thought you could take SAT/Subject Tests as many times as you want and just send them your best score. And then after taking 2 SAT’s and 2 Subject tests i found out schools like Penn want to look at everything…so now i feel guilty for not trying my best :</p>

But can someone answer this: would it look bad if i took SAT Reasoning 3 times, US history and Chem twice? So it would hypothetically look like this:

SAT I:1770
SAT I: 1910
SAT I: 2250 +
SAT Chem: 580
SAT Chem: 750+
SAT USHistory: 610+
SAT USHistory: 750+

Here is what I have done so far:

SAT I: 2080
SAT I: (will take) expecting 2250+

MathII:780
MathII:800
Chemistry:650
Chemistry:760
Chemistry:800
Physics:800

Result: 800MII/800Chem/800Physic = 2400

You can use score choice for the schools that allow it. For the one that don’t, then it should still be okay. Unless your superscore equals a 2400, then in that case submit all three.

What schools allow score choice? Do most?

dude. dont worry about it, 3 times is FINE.

my friend took it 4 times, superscore of 2270 and got into stern with full tuition.

i know, stern isnt in the same caliber with shcools like yale and harvard, but still.

ull be FINEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Taking 2350 is extremely good, you would be crazy to even consider taking it again dude your score will get into any ivy league college.
