so when i took the SAT in november, I got a 1750 (570 cr, 540 math, and 640 writing) but when i took them a few weeks ago i only got a 1570 (440 cr, 550 math, and 580 writing). I just don't get it... I really wantd to go to Cornell and it's not like i'm a bad student- my gpa is a 3.833 unweighted and i got into the summer program....is it worth it to take them a third time????

i would definitely take it a third time. a third time wont hurt you, and they take your highest scores anyways.

i second akiiriah, take it again..especially, if you're aiming for cornell

ok.... does cornell super score?

who knows
DEFINITELY TAKE IT A THIRD TIME!!!!!!

Did you prep at all between takes? That's definitely a surprising fall. Study for it and retake, definitely!!!

yes- i had four prep books and did almost everything in all of them. maybe i messed up with the filling in the bubble. I caught myself doing that a few times but maybe there was one time i didn't see it.

take it again. I took it four times, and I got into my dream school. I wouldn't recommend taking it four times, but def take it a third time.

shorty, pay attention to your score when you prep. If you never get to the score you want in practice, it's hard to come close in real test situation where you likely to be more nervous, etc..
