Third year of foreign language

Hi, my schedule next year is going to be
Junior Year:
AP English Lang
AP Biology
AP Physics B
AP Calc AB
AVID 3
ASB (Student Government) Positions Secretary & Treasurer

Now i don’t know if i should stay with this schedule or drop a class and add French 3. Do UC’s care if i take the third year if i have this type of schedule? Will it affect my chances? I want to go to either UCLA, Berkeley, or Davis.

Does anyone know if i don’t take French 3 it would hurt my chances?

I don’t know. However the UC’s like to see you take more than the required classes they ask you. I don’t think they’ll make a big deal if you don’t take a third year of a foreign language. Just get good grades, stay involved, and write good essays and you should be fine! Good luck! :D

I hope they won’t make a big deal. :(

Another consideration, many UCs would waive the foreign language graduation requirement with 3 years of high school foreign language. UC Berkeley is one of them. This is not an admission consideration but a graduation consideration.
