This decision is killing me

CMU or University of Rochester for premed? Like I said in another thread, I want to do chemical engineering probably, but go to medical school after. People seem to agree that Rochester is awesome for premed, but CMU seems nice and its great for engineering also. I just don't know if it matters though since I don't want a job in engineering. Oh yeah, I'm not actually in at CMU by the way, I'm on the priority wait list but I don't know if I should send it in. Which would you choose if you had medical school in mind and why?

omg im in the exact same predicament. I dont know if I shuld take the pwl or nyu?

CMU has the better name and is a lot better in Chem Engineering. I would give the slight pre-med nod to CMU because of its overall name and because of the post-grad stats last year for just biology.

CMU also has minicourses in pre-med where the faculty works with the relatively small pre-med classes so they free MCAT advice/tutoring as well as overall help. With a small ugrad of 5k and an EVEN SMALLER pre-med population, you really do get the help you need here.

You can check the post-grad surveys for just Biology where people go into Medicine, Law, and other fields at Ivies and other top schools.
