this gossip girl episode is killing me.

for all of you non GG fans, todays episode is about the seniors getting their Yale EA decisions.

so far , the inuendos about bulldogs, eli accounts, and more have just been killing me. like letting bulldogs rip me apart!

I WANT MY DECISION

(ps if you are on PST, turn it on, CW, it started at 8)

haha i knowww. also, so much is not right about it. first of all, they should've already gotten their ea decisions before new years. also, you don't get waitlisted ea. and your decision doesn't just say, congrats you've been accepted. geez.

haha and to my knowledge, waitlisted students don't automatically get in when someone else from their school declines their offer of admissions. It's not linked like that, and there are waves of people getting off of the waitlist, which occurs after May 1st.

I totally want a baby bulldog :D

firing squad indeed

The book is way better and more real (about Yale and other things) than the series.

o.o

10char.

Text responses? Really Gossip Girl? Really?

I'm completely addicted to Gossip Girl (and also Gilmore girls, which is why I actually LOLed when Blair references Gilmore girls!), but this episode was so unrealistic, for all the reasons everyone said...but it was kind of annoying.

Also annoying because sadly the media does play a role in how people perceive colleges and if all your favorite characters from Gossip Girl are applying to Yale then why wouldn't you want to! It just adds to the 26,000 applicants...oy vey.

Blair doesn't deserve to go to Yale at all...but I'm SO happy that Dan got in! YAY.

haha i for one enjoyed it!
think any "page six"-ers will be admitted to Yale this year?

Ugh, I may be quite alone in this perspective, but the thought of going to Yale with Dan Humphrey really irks me. Even worse would be going to Yale with Serena. Of course, none of this is real.

That episode is so sad. So, so sad.
I prefer Gilmore Girls :)

I hope Blair doesn't disown Handsome Dan (if he reminds her of her waitlisting, that is)

OMG same!! I keep yelling at the TV and my mom was like "what is wrong with you?"

Did he get into USC.? Did his Dad make him apply to FartMouth? And Vanessa? She took the SATs as a walk-in.

This is true, we never heard about the others.
And what about Chuck, he's taking over Daddy's business so does that mean he rescinded his apps...or knowing him he just never applied ;) (I almost cried when he turned human on Lily at the end of the episode!)

anyone get really angry when blair was like "how can you expect to get into yale with only a 2360 sat score?" ?

that bothered me how serena got in!!!!

me too! serena normally would NOT have gone

Weird little show...

Admissions is completely crazy and the characters get special treatment... Dean of Admissions to Yale, Jeff Brenzel himself had to assure Yale Herald that admissions does not work like that.

OOH!!! and my favorite is when Blair goes, "It's the only place I applied!" i seriously started laughing out loud. are you serious? ***fffff

I was also bothered by the 2360 haha...I was just like ***, seriously Blair?

I love Gossip Girl though :)

(it's also funny because they portray Yale like they portray the rest of their show—elitist, white, backstabbing, etc. when in fact Yale is like the complete opposite give or take a few....maybe it'll help shave off some of those 26,000 for next year...who knows)

The 2360 made my brother and me burst out laughing, because I'm a SCEA-admit with a 2360.. :)

OMG Now that westcoasters are done watching
Chuck. I never had much respect for him at all until around the time his dad died. Since then, I've been completely obsessed with him. AGHHHH. He's like a troubled case who is trying, you know?

I'm just happy that Serena is going to Brown! Don't get me wrong, I'm in lurve with Yale, but I also love diversity - and that means diversity among the ivies including all who are brown, crimson, green, and blue!
