there is this guy in Singapore that was admitted to MIT, Stanford, Yale and Princeton (he is still waiting for reply from Harvard...) He is from China and came to Singapore by scholarship

His record:
1. 1st in Singapore Mathematical Olympiad (open)
2. Gold award for Singapore Physics Olympiad
3. Gold award for Singapore Chemistry Olympiad (Practical)
4. Gold award for Singapore Olympiad for Informatics
5. Full marks for AMC 12 and AIME
6. Gold award for his individual project in Singapore Mathematical Festival
7. In the best math and science class in one of the best junior colleges in Singapore
8. Represents college in various math competition and did VERY well
.....

this is all i know of his record, but i never heard of him taking up any post in Extra Curricular Activities or Class Commitee or Boarding School...

haha bcos he is not a singaporean, he just have a student pass to study in singapore. even he is the top for math in singapore, singapore IMO team cannot have a non-singaporean inside... (he did not apply for PR)

To illustrate how hard the Singapore Olympiads are, a guy who got Bronze in SPhO got Gold in IPhO and another guy who got HM in SPhO got Bronze in IPhO...

Singapore Physics Olympiads so hard bcos only there are thousand over contestants only less than ten people getting gold award.(perhaps for Chemistry Olympiad too) but Math Olympiad has much more gold awardees =)

I don't think these competitions were around when those guys were kids. IMO started in 1955 or somewhere around there right? I'm sure if they could have participated they would have and they would have dominated.
