This is a big deal!!!!!

Ok guys, I have a plan to get into Emory but not through freshman admissions. Here is my story and plan.

I have 1200 SAT score (not so hot, i know...)
4.022W GPA, 3.7-3.8 UW
I am getting college credit through a local Comunity College and I will have like 66 trimester credits plus credits for one more class through Concordia University. I have good EC's, decent recs, and pretty good essays. Because with these stats I won't get into Emory I want to see if I can transfer into Oxford, complete a year there, and then integrate into Emory??? Now, the problem is, I only have a 3.21 college GPA. Will that be good enough for a transfer to Oxford College? What do you guys think?

Are you talking about Oxford in England?

No, Oxford College, its a branch of Emory.

Romo1 --

It seems like a decent plan to me. Oxford admits transfers, so that should not be a problem (but I do not know what the criteria are for a transfer). As long as you are admitted and they accept your credits, I would think that you are good to go. However, I would certainly check with Admisssions to make certain that this is the case, that you have a good shot at being admitted as a transfer, and that you would only have to spend 1 year at Oxford before moving onto Emory.

I dont think thats possible to transfer after 2 years to Oxford since it is a 2 year college. Why would you want to do that when you can try transfering to Emory instead? Why not even apply to Oxford right now? Or you could transfer to Oxford after 1 year.

If I read Romo1's post correctly, I believe that he wants to go into Oxford as a transfer, spend 1 year at Oxford, and then transfer to Emory.
