<p>I am a recent immigrant from East Asia. For a year and a half Ive been going to a school with a 90% Hispanic and Black population. Now Im transfering to a white school because of their academic excellence with 50 % the students there white. So I joked with a friend of mine who also goes to that school that I like white girls ( and Im Asian) so he surely had told some of his friends there and they think Im a creep. One of them even referred to me as creepy Asian guy ( OMG now I can see how bad a joke can go). So in our Asian culture we kinda add facebook on random people, so did I. And it happened to be some of the white students at that school. I said hi on their wall ( cuz in where Im from people make new friends regardless all the time) but I never got a reply back.</p>
<p>So by all the I nformation I provided, you must have thought that Im a creep. Im afraid, too, of not having a friend at a new school, Im afraid that Ill be ostracized; therefore it ruins my social life when I transfer there ( and I know for sure I will). What can I do in this situation? Comment appreciated</p>
<p>You’re too worried to the point of being paranoid. If anyone really referred to you as “creepy Asian guy” they were kidding because they haven’t even met you.</p>
<p>If you go to this new school thinking that everyone hates you then you will project an aura that says you hate everyone. I’ve seen this happen. Go to your new school assuming that noone hates you, put a smile on your face, and make some new friends.</p>
<p>It might depend on where you live, but in general, they are no more racist than any other group. (Speaking in general here, in the present. Obviously in the past, they were more so.)
Even in the south(I live in NC), there isn’t that much racist stuff, and generally people who are racist in my area are reprimanded in some way.(Unless they’re just kidding.)</p>

<p>Texas is pretty chock full of racists. I’m sorry to say this, but having lived in Texas I’m going to give it to you as it is. Obviously not all white students are racist but the more south you go -the more likely you are to encounter racists. When i was 5 and I went to school in Texas, some dude told me black was bad and to go change it. I think that to say racial prejudices don’t affect some white students is a stupid lie. However, everyone is racist in one way or anothwer- I believe. The best way you can make freinds is to act kindly to everyone (within reason) and believe you are going to make friends. Then you will. Racism is not really hard to conquer. My one friend wears a hijab and is a Muslim. But she has a cool interesting personality and I love her despite the fact that I have never really seen Muslims portrayed in a positive manner. Also, don’t be bitter. In my experience, if you are bitter about your race/culture then you will scare others away.

<p>Racism is not limited to white people. There are Hispanic racists, African-American racists, Asian racists, white racists, and Native American racists.</p>
<p>Sorry, but that’s just kind of creepy. What I would tell you to do is to delete the posts from their walls and remove them from your friends. Then, when you get to school, just be nice and make friends with people in person. THEN add them on Facebook and write on their walls.</p>
<p>Yea, I think the creepy asian part may come from the fact that people generally think its weird to be friended on facebook by strangers who then write on their wall.</p>
<p>This might only be because I’m white, I guess, but I find it very creepy when anyone I don’t know writes on my wall on FB. Not so much friending, as there are a lot of people who I forget, but writing on my wall, creepy!</p>

I attend a private school in Europe, and 100% of the students are white.Last year, a guy from Saudi Arabia got in the school.His father is , well , IMMENSELY rich.However, he didn</code>t speculate with his money.IN fact, no one actually knew at the beginning.So they started to make jokes about him.Some guys told him they will go to S.Arabia and will F**K all the girls they meet.Others made fun at his style of clothing , for instance ,most of the guys were wearing expensive Armani suits, while the Saudi was wearing traditional Arab clothes.What do you think happened next ?
