<p>I've visited, it has a lot of nice citrus trees which you aren't allowed to eat because they're experimental. oh and big lecture classes with 500 people we sat in on, but there are smaller classes too. and yes, i know that was not the point</p>
<p>We here at CC way overanalyze the college process. Believe it or not, plenty of people choose colleges that breezily and arbitrarily. And they usually end up finding their niche and being happy and successful. Just today my mom told me that she gave less thought to marrying my dad than I have been giving to choosing a school! The truth is that you really can be happy and successful anywhere. Some of us are just a bit more into the searching part :)</p>
<p>UCR actually has really good academics that are on a par with, if not better than, the other UC's. I pick it over UCLA and Berkeley, because the faculty seem to care about teaching more at UCR than at those schools.</p>
