So I did really bad on my SATIIs. Really bad.

{ Math2: 720 & Lit: 660 } <-- tear

My ACT is fine (34), and the rest of my app is well rounded/competitive, but is it even worth applying anymore?

I was going to type “is this a joke?” and then I read your username.

^^lol

why do you want to go oos anyway?

LOL - well I liked Berkeley, and I’m not trying to stay instate. But in all honesty is it worth it given the competitive nature of the OOS applicant pool.

uh i thought sat2s don’t even count

You can always retake them and get that Math2 up to an 800.

Batman17, I think this is the last year that SAT II’s count, for most or all regular applicants. Sorry about the game last Saturday…

If he uses his ACT scores, his SAT scores won’t count :o

No I’m pretty sure they count regardless…

I thought SAT 2’s were optional this year? Either way, the UCs don’t put much weight into the SAT 2s

Why are you apologizing to me? lol

a 660 is fine.

How were you able to do so well on ACT relative to your SATs

I often wonder the same thing. I suppose I’m just an ACT person, and no and SAT person.

hah, are you kidding? i got 730 on math (only 10 above you), and i got in.

infact, i did bad on my SAT I. i got like 540 on one of the parts, that was horrible.
but the other two made up for it.

APPLY!

If you like Berkeley, you should apply. Maybe your math isn’t the best, so I’ll give you a little bit of advice:

If you don’t apply, your chances of getting in are 0%

If you apply, you have a positive chance of getting in (> 0%)

>0% is an infinite increase from 0%

Technically speaking, I should have actually been weighing the benefits of a $60 app, but that’s not really that important.

You actually have a really good ACT score, and they’ll probably look at that instead of your SAT IIs. I had an overall score of 31 on my ACT and got in to EECS.

Good luck!

i got a 600 in lit and a 780 in math and im here. our cumulative scores are the same, so maybe you’re just okay.

I got less than 600 on both my SAT IIs.
