<p>I got into Stanford EA, but I'm also applying to Princeton and Duke. I'm from Western NC, and I was wondering my chances of an NC scholarship at Duke. I'm sort of ambivalent about this - I really like Stanford, but what an honor!</p>

Student council (constitution writer, 3-year rep.)
Various community service as well as minor sports frosh year</p>
<p>Essay stuff: History day (interviewing famous people), being first-gen college student</p>
<p>However, I have a friend from my school who's 1550/800/780/760 4.0uw, slightly lower rank, ran city council campaign, newspaper intern, volunteer for 2 Congressional campaigns, summer programs at G-town and TIP (Duke), swimming, yearbook senior editor, kids voting district coordinator, volunteering, NHD state finalist 3 years, debate co-president, co-founder of online newspaper (yes, we're the same person)</p>
<p>Would they ever look at 2 people from a school (a girl at my school won last year)? You can say what you like - it won't hurt me either way.</p>
