Okay, so in my study hall today (I have nothing else to do!) I was looking at the courses offered for the fall on Testudo. I noticed (especially for the CORE classes) they all seem to be offered around the same time of day.

My parents are demanding I take at least 15 credits a semester, which I dont think will be too difficult - it just seems like a time issue - they're all offered at the same time!

Looking at the classes I plan to take, some of them only have 10 minutes between them. I know UMD is a huge campus - is 10 minutes definitely not enough?

Depends where you are walking from. For example, if you are going from the Space Sciences building all the way over to Susquehanna, then it you are not going to have enough time.

when we took our tour they said you sign up for classes on line, and it will automatically tell you if there won't be enough time and tell you to pick another class.

You'll have either 10 minutes between classes (MWF classes) or 15 (MW or TuTh classes). Usually it's fine, most of your core classes will probably be around the mall anyway. And yeah, you've got 4 years so don't worry if you can't fit something into your schedule quite yet.
