This is just too cool not to mention...

From the student handbook:

B.11 Pets

Students may not bring or maintain pets or animals of any kind in residence halls/suites except fish in small tanks not to exceed ten gallons. Roommates/Suitemates must agree to have a fish tank. There cannot be more than one fish tank per bedroom and tanks may not be kept in bathrooms.

Alright, anyone else going to get some fish? Yeahhh! (Seriously.)

Yes! I'm getting a fish even though I haven't had one since I was about five.

a lot of people have fish. occassionally throughout the year, i hear that some dead fish get flushed down the toilet. i also see some students cleaning out their fish tanks in the sink next to the washing machine. it's nice to see that some fish actually survive the entire year. i think there might be some opportunities to get free fish during welcome week activities.

aww poor little fishies. I love fish, but now i have second thoughts about owning pet fishies after watching finding nemo...

The res hall staff actually gave out free goldfish in De Neve last fall quarter. I'm surprised some people weren't aware that pet fish were allowed in the high-rise dorms...

im taking my saltwater reef tank to Hedrick next year...

hi, i just bought a new hermit crab! :) where are the nearest pet stores in case i need something? what are the stores called? i've researched and found that the closest is past wilshire :(

Fish races, oh yeah!

just out of curiosity, anyone here have a hermit crab too? (sry if i'm going off-tangent)

DWM for the 2 year bump....

I just noticed the post date... s/he must have nothing to do other than surf CC, haha.

WOW I was about to say...

that it was the first time I've ever seen a Flopsy post without the famous  at the end of it. Oh man..

DWM you should go find some funky looking shells for your hermit crab. Preferably things that are weird and unusual such as crack pipe--it gives it character.

well what her 2 yr bump shows is that she is capable of using the search function unlike the majority of posters here

No, that's giving her too much credit. I think she read through the threads page by page.

^ rofl

why would u bump such an old thread...

^ It prevents having multiple threads on the same subject, right?

exactly. i try my best to avoid others getting mad at me b/c i didn't use the search function.

does anyone have experience with carrying on pets on the plane?? i'll hafta do that for my hermit crab. i hope she doesn't die.
