This is kind of a lame question, but

what meal plan do you suggest?

I was thinking either the blue plan or the liberty plan? Have any penn student had bad experiences with these plans? Just curious…don’t want to waste my money.

Dining hall food is pretty atrocious. Get as many dining dollars as possible.

Agreeeeeed

As many dining dollars as possible and as few meals as possible. Simple as that.

i personally don't think the dining hall food is that bad. my friends that visit penn from other colleges think penn has like 5 star restaurants lol.

i was at penn over the summer for the precollege...i didnt eat breakfast once...but ate every lunch over at Houston Hall...which is delicious. and dinner we pretty much avoided the 1920 commons. again, houston is amazing.

but in houston hall you eat with dining dollars, not meals.

heh yea, that's exactly what i was saying.

Can someone please explain where you can use dining dollars? For someone living in the Quad and planning on eating at 1920 Commons, but open to eating at other places, what is the best plan?

Ok, here's the break down:

Meals: Hill, 1920, KC dining Hall
Also: Express stations at Hill, Quad, and C3 (below 1920)

Dining Dollars: All the express stations, Houston Market, Triangle Diner, C3 (convinence store.. below 1920 commons), Subway, Chick-a-fila, and Freshen's smoothie, Marks Cafe (in the library), Towne Cafe (in the Towne building).

hope this helps :)

suuuuuuubway

Oh, don't forget Au Bon Pain (unless they stopped taking dining dollars since my freshman year). The only thing better than half price pastries is half price pastries you don't have to fork over any real cash for...

Words like atrocious are always impassioned and overstated, but the truth remains EVERYONE has recommended getting as many dining dollars as possible.
