Is it appropriate to ask someone to hang out/ask them "out" over Myspace? And if so, how does one go about doing this?

This person, specifically, is a member of the opposite sex who goes to my school and whom I had never spoken to before, but converse with over the internet

god i'm sad

Umm someone asked me out over AIM and I pretty much felt like trash because it was like he had no respect for me and thus couldn't even put effort into building up confidence to ask me in person.
Anywho he was pretty much "not my type" and very stalker-ish so I'm avoiding him.
So no, I wouldn't ask that person over the internet if I were you. I interpret that as a lack of effort, which could potentially translate into a lack of commitment.
That's just me though. Maybe I'm just weird.

Internet interaction is way different than living interaction. How can you expect to act comfortably when you have never talked to this person before? Especially since you seem like someone who isn't extremely social. Start talking to them at school sometimes, become comfortable with her, and then ask her out.

can you not bump up 3 year old threads ? thanks. nigguh.

^ I figured something was wrong when the OP mentioned wanting to ask someone out through the now obsolete MySpace. Now I get it.
