This is my final Chance Thread

Apply to some reaches. U Mich, Cornell, NYU, Hopkins.

your credentials look really competitive, and will probably draw a lot of attention from the schools you listed. Try higher schools, you probably stand a good chance!

UC Irvine-safety
UC Santa Barbara-low match
University of Oregon-safety
University of Miami-safety (they value diversity)
Pepperdine-high match/low reach
Cal Poly SLO-safety
Boston University-match
UC San Diego-low reach
San Diego State University-match
University of Georgia-match
USC (probably a reach)-yep

Thanks very much.

Your in…high match for USC though

Thanks very much.

Bumping this.

If I were to get a 2050 can I get into NYU given that I don’t need financial aid and I have a hook?

Even though I have little knowledge pertaining to what the schools you’re looking into want out of applicants, I believe you have a great chance at all of those!

You’ll have impressive applications!

Regarding your NYU question: one of my friends got into NYU with a 1650 SAT! I don’t think your current SAT score will hurt your chances at NYU.

You are very strong in all three sections (: GPA, ECs, and SAT Score. I’m sure that your colleges will take a great interest in you. Good luck!

I have a tough time believing that any of those schools would NOT accept you! Good luck, although I doubt you’ll need it. :)

Thanks very much:)
I’ve relieved. I have been very nervous about life and college admissions.

all these schools are a match

Including NYU?

Can you chance me? (:

sure thing:)

UC Irvine - low match/match
UC Santa Barbara - low match
University of Miami - match/high match
Boston University - low match
UC San Diego - low match/match
University of Georgia - match
USC (probably a reach) - reach

Raising your SAT score would be a really help you because all the other aspects of your application are very nice. With a score of 2050+, you would stand a much better shot at a lot of those schools, making a majority of them low matches, and even bringing USC to a match/high match. Best of luck.

I’m feel good about the last SAT. I think I got a 2050. I’ll post here as soon as I find out.
Thanks for chancing me.

You’re good for BU, the UCs, USC (I don’t know the others). Your GPA, ECs, and SAT, along with being an URM, will get you considerable attention at any top school. Getting at least a 2000-2050 will make you a solid
