<p>My essay was about above average, I'd say. My recommendations were stellar, according to my guidance counselor (I never saw them). </p>
<p>I am a member of NHS, and am in many honor societies. I have been working at the same job for a year and a half now and I started going to a senior citizen home EVERY sunday for 2-3 hours September 2006, just so I would be more appealing to colleges.</p>
<p>Just like... Wow. I don't even know what to think. Who knows what my parents are gonna say when I tell them... Money is a pretty big issue for my family and we all were expecting me to get in...</p>

<p>I'm sure you'll get in for RD. I think that for EA they took so many applicants in at first, that when more applications kept coming in, they ran out of spots.</p>
<p>I wonder how many of you deferred are males vs females. I have no foundation for this theory, but I wonder if first they accept the males since the usual breakdown in most universities is more girls, as seen in their statistics in every brochure I see.</p>
<p>I submitted all my stuff on Nov. 1st, but I had submitted it online earlier than that. I have a feeling it could have been that they got your stuff later, and it was already past when they capped it because of the record number of applicants this year.</p>
<p>I don't see why you won't get in regular decision.</p>
<p>And to multitasker, I know a male who got deferred. Though I DO know more females that got deferred. All the applicants that got in from my school (all three of us), are female. But more females may have applied from my school, not sure.</p>
