this is probably stupid...

yeah. so i've been dealing with some weird scheduling issues for senior year. (i posted earlier about my schedule, but now my schedule has changed around more....funn.) anyways, i'm applying to some competitive schools (Harvard, Columbia, Tisch, USC film...), and these are the 2 best schedules i could come up with:

First Schedule:
(AP) Literature
(AP) Chemistry
(AP) Calculus BC
(College) Colonial America, 4 units *ONLINE, 1 semester
(Honors) Art History *ONLINE, 1 semester
(Honors) Western Cultural Humanities **ONLINE, 1 semester
(Honors) Theatre IV
Theatre Production III
Guitar I

Second Schedule:
(AP) Literature
(AP) Chemistry
(AP) Calculus BC
(AP) European History (at another high school)
(College) Colonial America, 4 units *ONLINE, 1 semester
(Honors) Art History *ONLINE, 1 semester
(Honors) Theatre IV

i'm getting completely anal about my schedule...yeah...it started when i finished all the history courses at my HS and kinda went off from there...
my heart is w/ the first schedule, but maybe that's because it's almost all electives...

is one better than the other? or are they on the same level...? input/advice?

1 is that it is only 4.5 academic classes. Since highly selective schools prefer to see 5 academic core classes....can you take some other academic class at your HS instead of guitar?

btw: AP Euro is considered favorably by some adcoms, similar to AP Lit, and the hard science APs. But, since apparently your HS does not offer it, its not a big deal if you don't take it.

well as for trying to get another academic class...
AP bio is full.
AP envi sci is full.
AP stats is during AP chem.
...
so I'm pretty much stuck with the ones I have.
