I think one of my main hooks that I want to expand upon in my essay is how I was diagnosed with a severe primary spina biffida with complications after removal of a tumor in my spinal cord that I have been forced to deal with my entire life. After almost a dozen surgeries to make sure that I haven't had a regrowth of the tumor I really have an almost intimate connection with medicine and I have been able to grow through that and do better than I thought I would have been able.

I actually am getting an article on my experiences published in the National Journal of Nephrology.

I dont think you can put these schools into the same group

Safety:
Vanderbilt
University of Louisville
UK
Penn St.

Vanderbilt definitely isn’t a safety and Penn and Columbia aren’t low reaches. But other than that, you ranked the schools pretty accurately.

…aren’t you applying to any matches?

Vanderbilt is definitely not a safety for you.
