Yes Beth is in flash forwards - we see her at a dance studio/performance place with some gray in her hair.
I didn’t hear that about the trilogy. Oh man, this show stresses me out - in the best way!

I almost don’t want to watch tonight. Until I can find out if the intruder is real or imagined.
Almost…
Its real…
Confusing episode tonight (at least to me). From what I have read, the trilogy will be the same week from the perspective of each of the Pearson triplets. End of Randall’s week dovetailed with what looks like will be Kevin’s week next week (we will see how Kevin got there).
Who was in the background in Kevin’s bed? Was it his ex wife?
^I think that’s who we’re supposed to think it was, but who knows?
Yeah, we def are supposed to assume it’s Sophie as he was at her parent’s funeral, but who knows?
Not clear. Presumably intentionally so. Kevin told Randall he was going back home for Sophie’s mom’s funeral. Would make sense it would be Sophie we saw in bed with Kevin at end of tonight’s episode. Kevin missed a call from Sophie at the end of last week’s episode but wasn’t clear why she was calling him (maybe just to say her mom died). Show doesn’t work towards what seems apparent though.
Kevin will be back in Pittsburgh so it could be anyone from his past. Or someone new. Or Hall Pass woman.
When Randall was about to lose it, I was saying out loud, “Call Kevin. Call Kevin!!” And, I felt a huge sense of relief when he did. So invested in these characters, though I didn’t think this episode was the best.
Of the Big Three, I am most like Randall - though not to his extreme.
It’s making me so sad to think that they won’t be talking to Randall in less than a year! Kevin is so good at talking Randall down.
The focus on Randall’s anxiety was acted and presented so well. For all the negativity between Kevin and Randall as kids, it is so heartwarming to watch Kevin be there for Randall, even while he was still asleep. We think he is in Pittsburgh, but given he was in bed and the other person was sleeping, could he have been back in CA? It is well into the morning on the east coast since Randall has already been to the office and then back home.
I find myself hoping it is Sophie.
I went away over the long weekend and back to work yesterday. I was working on my laptop last night around 9:20 when my son said to me “isn’t that show you like on tonight?” Ack. I thought it was Monday. We only have digital antenna and only get NBC and PBS with it so it’s watch live or wait. But I was able to pick up pretty much what was going on from there. Thought the conversation between Malik’s Dad and Randall was a little forced and preachy at the audience. LOL at Randall’s running style but thought Sterling Brown did a great job last night. I could feel his anxiety swelling during the town hall. Love the Little 3 and their pjs. I think it’s Sophie in bed with Kevin but also think that’s what we’re supposed to think. When he called Kevin I was wondering how they can not be speaking to Randall in less than a year.
It also seems like we’ll soon find out about teenage Kate and her boyfriend. Maybe that’ll be in Kate’s episode of the trilogy.
I missed why they stop talking to Randall. I’ll go to the f@n site to find out.
Beth is so,pretty, whether college Beth or currently.
I doubt Sophie.
Hog girl, I was pleased he called Kevin, but not with your intuition .
@bookworm don’t spoil it for us!!!
That was a very touching episode and very important addressing mental health issues, anxiety and panic attacks. How scary for Randall. Sterling K Brown did a phenomenal job presenting this issue - weirdly, I guess I have to say ALL the Randall’s did a great job. I choked up when preschool Randall looked over the side of his bed to make sure Jack was still there. My D1 used to do that.
It was SO hard to see him a prisoner to that security app - such a real life, today example of how something helpful can turn into a burden and obsession.
I also love that he called Kevin. And Beth is such a prize.
Interesting article on the rason they had the break-in at Randall’ss (there might be some other info about upcoming tuff so be careful if you don’t want to know)https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/the-worst-seinfeld-episode-was-so-cringeworthy-nbc-had-to-apologize.html/
^That’s Seinfeld?
@MaineLonghorn - Here’s the direct link…I had to search around on the site for it:
https://www.cheatsheet.com/entertainment/this-is-us-the-producers-reveal-the-shocking-stories-that-inspired-randalls-home-invasion.html/
I searched for the article. It basically said one or more of the writers had experienced a home invasion. And they clearly remembered the emotion of the moment and the aftermath, so wanted to write about it.
My mom’s appointments have been weirdly similar to Rebecca’s.
I am always moved by Randall, more than any other character. Young Beth looks so much like present day Beth - it’s uncanny.
