This Is Us. Anyone watching?

Didn’t someone say that part of her contract requires her to lose weight?

Sounds like her contract doesn’t REQUIRE that but that maybe it is in the plan that “Kate” will lose weight.

I have to say I admire the honesty on this thread. I don’t agree with it all! But clearly CC’ers are honest.

Looking forward to the show this week.

Get your tissues ready, CC friends. We’ve been warned by Milo.

I’m already getting anxious and there’s half an hour to go.

Great one! Very emotional.

For me the script, music, and acting were perfection. Every week I rave about Sterling K Brown, but I need to move him up to a higher pedestal.

I was crying almost immediately!

2VU0609, I agree completely. Great episode.

They do an amazing job of coordinating the perfect music to the emotional tenor of each scene. This was my second favorite episode, after the first one.

So sad. Beautiful episode.

I have waited until H went to bed and have my kleenex ready…

An episode with Randall and William certainly played to the show’s strengths. I appreciated the modest vacation from Kevin and Kate, as well as from seeing Randall worry about his job and his tremors. And it was a lovely sendoff for a lovely character, providing him with the full-dimensional backstory he deserved.

Plus, this week no one did anything certifiably moronic. (Other than, of course, taking a hospice patient on a long road trip.)

Great recap for those of us who have seen this episode.

I didn’t delete after watching as I think I want to watch again.

Totally agree with you @2VU0609. This stand-alone episode is emmy-worthy. The story line was just beautiful and the acting, sublime.

Don’t want to give spoilers for those who haven’t seen it yet, but I especially loved Randall’s giddiness at finding his roots. Those moments of levity paired so well with the heaviness of other scenes.

Loved the episode. Phenomenal, phenomenal acting. I know I am in the minority, but I was hoping William would tell Randall to forgive his mom.

Well, I cried again reading that recap.

Very powerful episode with the 2 best actors in the cast.

awesome television

@tx5athome - I was hoping for that too!

And, OMG, how about that adorable baby that plays baby William!?? I wanted to reach into my TV and hold him and make him my “little sunshine”. So stinkin cute!! :x

My brother and I took our parents on a road trip to Memphis before our kids were born. It was our last trip together as just the four of us. Mom and Dad both passed away last year. We stayed at the Peabody, ate bbq, and blissed out on Beale Street. I did fine watching the episode until the ducks at the end, then I lost it. Like William, my dad loved the Peabody ducks too.
