Having lost my own dad in a traumatic way, I was sobbing throughout Kevin’s scene talking to his dad. Ugh. This show has so many parts that are deeply relatable.

My D caught on that it was future Randall and Tess way before I did.
I both lost my dad and my daughter was born in 1997, so it was a momentous year for me as well.

So it was revealed that Rebecca and Miguel live in NJ. That explains all the bouncing around among Randall’s house, Rebecca’s house, and the apartment complex in Philly.

What is the significance in the last scene of the framed “paint splat” art on the wall that Tess passes by just after she sees Deja has returned (the camera zooms in on it)?

The scene ends with Kevin talking about his painting and saying, “I think it’s us”. So, I guess in a way the painting represents the show and could be titled, “This is Us”.

I knew that was adult Tess when she put the coat on the boy. I screamed at the TV. DH was so confused. That was my favorite part of the episode. I didn’t expect an episode on Tuesday!
I liked the way they incorporated the IRL football audio. I was never a fan of Kevin but I came away from the show liking him a bit more. It was cool the way they showed Tess and Randall in the future, wonder if they’ll play that angle up as well now that the past, especially the fire, has been revealed.
