This is what happened...

What happened was that when I updated my grades and upcoming classes on the UC application update form I input physics 4d as in progress at college A. That update was right before 1/31/2011. However, just couple of days later, today-I actually dropped the class at college A, and at the same time registered this same class at college B. And now when I went back to my UC application form, it seems the system still allowed me to input new changes, so I did. I made the same change on my UCB form as well.

My question is, will this cause serious trouble? I just simply changed the location of the class. Will my new updates on the application form be received and acknowledged by all the schools I applied to? I know it's passed the update deadline, but why am I still allowed to make changes?

thanks for any input

They allow you to make changes past the deadline but do not promise that those updates will be seen by all of the schools you have applied to. That said, chances are that none of the schools you have applied to have started looking at application from transfers. If that is the case then your updates will be seen.

If they do not see the changes I would not sweat it out. Seeing that you are taking the exact same class, the UC’s could care less where the actual location of the class is. They just care that you complete what you said you will complete; and you will do just that.

I am somewhat in a similar situation. I accidentally mixed my current address and my birth place/country on my applications. I updated my personal info today after UCSD kindly sent me an email to confirm my city of birth (person reviewing my application noticed it). I replied to the email like was told to do, but I was wondering whether the other schools would get my personal information updated since I updated the information today. Does anyone know?

I am not too worried about the other schools since UCSD is my first choice and I might consider applying again next year if I get rejected

Thanks Tony! Hopefully, it is just like what you’ve said.
