This is why you don't go to MIT

LOL, funny story

MIT cited for nuclear safety violations - Yahoo! News

i know
i wonder if we put that we dont care if we get radiation as long as im at MIT we would get in
Im so going to ask my interviewer's opinion in this.
lol

LOL, nah man. I am not good enough to get into MIT, scores are slightly too low, but I am going to Stanford for engineering. At least they have their nuclear reactors in check.

haha
are you in?
i wouldn't mind getting radiated and getting money
lol
i shouldnt be saying that
lol

holy crap man when i saw that link i was so scared that that was our lab. If junior lab gets cited it will probably be my fault :(

dont say that pebbles
if anyone is to blame it's maintenance

I'm very surprised that there was an operator who wasn't given the proper training, actually. I have a friend who's an operator (the operators are students, they get trained and paid to do it as a part-time job), and man, the training program (safety and operational) they have to go through is formidable.

Most people don't exactly go to the reactor on a daily basis, though. :)
