this just in: self confidence levels at an all time low!

Now that there's no columbia for me; someone who was considering harvard, mit, etc...

Eugene Lang is looking pretty damn appealing because i'm doubting I can get into NYU.

Way to make someone feel like they are a failure.

I don't care that much, columbia is a little too restrictive when it comes to individual major etc...
I'm going to apply to Gallatin and Brown's A.B. S.B. five year.

Eugene Lang is too safe of a safety but is it really that bad?
Why am i even letting my mind wander that far!

I won the brain bee dammit.

I know exactly how you feel.
I'm gonna do Brown and harvard regular, but I can't help but think: is it actually worth it?

hey...dont feel bad...5 minutes after getting a deferral to georgetown ( and then looking at my top 4 list of gtown, columbia, princeton and upenn) I said to myself
Screw college, i dont need it anyways...I ll go to cookingschool and become a chef!

Then I realized that I dont cook and that Im and international relations/economics major.

oops.

Check out the thread on the parents board about results after ED/EA referrals/rejections. There are people who were turned down by their EAs who ended up at Harvard. Each school is building a specific class, and what one school may have too m uch of, may just be what another school is looking for. So, sure, have your safeties and matches, but don't give up on you reaches.

Best wishes to you all.

"I said to myself
Screw college, i dont need it anyways..."
hahaha alita i felt the same.. but after recovering you put things into perspective.. and it's all worth it

and garland thanks :) i think what you say about each school building a specific class is very true.

Silver waves: I remember how much I enjoyed your essays. I'm really sad you didn't get in. Your energy and enthusiasm will be an asset to any school which gets you!!!

How about Sarah Lawrence College? It's 25 minutes away from NYC and is a good step up from Eugene Lang reputation wise but is also easier to get into than NYU.

Thank you garland :)

I will find my place somewhere else:)

actually i really want to apply to sarah lawrence, but id on't know if i can get all of their **** done by the first. i already have so many things due ahhhhhh

they need 4 essays i believe?

do you think i can send those in a little later?

Thank you garland :)

I will find my place somewhere else:)
