He's on the facebook group. Noooooooo...and to think that I'm bound to attend Penn alongside him!

I saw the username on the first post. I was like ****.

So how much of the stuff is true?

^^ Wooow. (Does this kid have a life? Seriously. lol, good for him, though.)

Now why he lacked the self-esteem and needed CCers to chance him is baffling.

It looks as if he quoted max hours instead of “average” hours for his EC’s on that post or something

I’m not facebook friends with him so I can’t verify his EC’s. He posted on the Class of 2014 group, though. He actually sounded really nice in his post, so he clearly has the ability to present himself as a normal person, but based on his CC posts he has a seedy/opportunistic/manipulative side as well, so I’m not excited to be his classmate.

@choklit rain: this kid sounds smart but its kinda lame to start a post about him… stop judging him based on his freaking CC posts and wait till you meet him in real life

That’s intense.

i feel like such a ****ing scrub…

will someone send me his facebook link? i wanna see this kid…

if it takes that kind of profile to get into penn, then i’m screwed.

btw, i find the people who were calculating his hours to be quite stupid. He does have to do all the activities at the same time. So its pointless to add them up.

If you read the last page, it says that he made it up.

Made it up, not made it up: all speculation. I guess it doesn’t really matter to us, anyway.

kid made it to penn 2 years back. told me that he made up the activities on his app. I talked to my regional rep if they doubt kids who work 120 hours / week with activities. He said no.

Never be honest on an application, and squeeze one’s way into a school past people who are probably more qualified: moral of the story.

I’m too lazy to go postdigging – what’s the story here? Has he already been a Penn student for a while? Did he lie on his app?

^ He was just accepted ED to Huntsman…He was a huge tool on CC and clearly exaggerated in the thread to which I linked. Someone from his school entered that thread, posted his name, and explained that he is a huge tool in real life and is probably lying/exaggerating(that post was removed). Also, he claimed to be a Harvard student at some point on CC. Overall, he’s a toolbox.

Oh, well that’s lame.

I can tell you right now, as someone who has genuinely been a full time student while also working multiple jobs during the year and at one point was doing fulltime + two parttimes + classwork in the summer – that schedule he posted was BS. Three hours of sleep her day is not sustainable – believe me, I’ve tried before. Not only is it not enough to survive on, but you just can’t think straight. Even if you pull a few allnighters or even a few 3-hour stints, it’ll catch up with you hard later and put you into a 12-hour coma, haha.

This kid needs to get a girl. Seriously.

***? Are u guys insane! Its his life all he did was ask u for help to chance him. If u wanted to u cud have just told him hey ur in. Or ignored that chance thread. But making a thread to ridicule him (though I’m sure that wasn’t choklitrains) motive. I guess u guys shud get a life. Sitting at home commenting on someone who is already into his dream college aint nice man. Ure probably hurting that guy. Chill the hell out ok guys.

If they don’t verify the activities of someone with 120 hrs/wk then when do they check?

^ That’s what frightens me, a little.
