Ok, I searched the internet for a calculator that would tell me my chances for getting into certain colleges. My percentages were WAY higher than I expected, and therefore I doubt the calculator's reliability.

For example, it says my chance of getting in to Harvard is 41%. I only have a 2210 SAT and I am not a minority (and no other "hook" for that matter), so I KNOW that my chance of getting in to Harvard could not possibly be more than 10-15%.

Could someone put in their numbers and tell me if their predictions seem inaccurate to you?

Set everything to the highest possible level and you get 60% for Harvard. So iwannagoivy has a 40% chance of getting rejected from Harvard? I doubt it.

lol, I put in the old SAT score the first time too... I was like, 5%?! Aww....

Now that I think about it, that's probably an indication that this calculator is crap. Who honestly has even a 3% of getting into Harvard with only a 1490 out of 2400. Yeah, more like, .000000003% chance....

Yeah, this thing really doesn't make sense. I got 2% chance for Harvard, which I suppose makes sense. But my chances for admission to Williams is a 48% OO and Duke is 42% Oo. So there's definately something wrong here..

I got 42%...that's impossible... I should never get into Havard even if I have more extra cirric than the YMCA and am black...that site is trippin. Then again, I would also never apply there.

lol i really wish these were my chances.....
this calculator CANNOT tell you your accurate chances at those colleges.....but maybe it's good for raising your hopes up =) (got 41% for Harvard...lol)

Why is university of maryland on the ranks of all these IVY league schools on the list. Even though i live in Maryland and see that it is becoming more and more competitive.

white girl, 3.2, 1970 sat... this is a joke

HAHAHA!!!!!!!!!! I got a 49% for Duke. That's hilarious. BTW 3.7 GPA, 29 ACT (1300 SAT - 1950 SAT). I put mediocre stuff for the essays, recs, and other stuff too. For some reason, I don't think I have a 49% chance of admission, lol. Oh, and Williams was 54%, Michigan was 55% (I got waitlisted at UM in real life).
