HOW DO YOU FIGURE OUT YOUR GPA ??? i just have my average on my report card ... thanks
and what does weighted and unweighted mean ?

Unweighted does not take into consideration AP or pre-ap scores
Weighted takes into consideration those scores

Its usually the average translated into a grade and then into a GPA
(ie 95=A=4.0)

at my school it was different, say you got a 95 in AP Economics.
It would be a 3.5 on an unweighted scale and 4.5 on a weighted scale.

You really should ask your school to provide you with those details since every school grades differently. But generally speaking, your cumulative GPA is equal to the sum of your end of year GPAs Freshman-Junior year divided by three. Unweighed GPA simply means that your GPA is measured purely based on your grades and does not take course selection or difficulty into account. Weighed GPA, on the other hand, indicates that tougher classes are weighed more heavily than regular classes.

But like I said, you want to have your school work on those numbers for you.

well your average is whatever it says on the report card.. i think what you mean is how does it translate to a 4.0 scale? I dont think its the same to just 4*(average/100). here in NY, NJ, etc, unlike most of the US, the grades are out of 100 and your gpa is the average of all your grades. we dont use the system 95=A=4.0, where the 4.0 gets averaged in rather than the 95. That way, someone who has only gotten 98's will have a 98 average/ 4.0 GPA, but some one with only 95's will have a 95 average/ 4.0 GPA. At least in my school a 98 requires much more work than a 95.

Correct me if I'm wrong on how the gpa on a 4.0 scale is calculated but i think its inferior to the 100 scale.

what is a 3.5 equivalent to?
