This may sound shallow but...

Communications, psych, Global studies

i understand the don't date theater people.. but why pyschology? About half the people I meet are pysch majors.

My vote: ART and nursing

The general consensus around my school is that psych majors don't really have any direction, and thus take a major with very little real-world value (a lot of people tend to think of it as "applied English"). Also,a lot of people I know don't really care about the conjectures of random psychologists, they all seem like hand-waving arguments. It just seems more like a pseudo-science for people who don't like science but want to give the impression that they want to.

Note: this doesn't reflect my personal view; just that of a few people I know who were actually talking about this exact subject a few days ago.

any business related major has hot girls...I know girls consider the guys to be better looking, too.

had a director once tell me never to date theatre or psychology majors.
I've dated them both and now I realize the wisdom in those words. I would tell you the same... but I know it won't help

what is wrong with psych majors? I know lots of psych majors, there's nothing wrong with them...

i've heard people say girls who major in things like Education, Art, English, Journalism, Communications are stereotypically prettier...haha I guess a lot of the easier majors get lumped into the "pretty" category. i think Dance majors are generally pretty, and usually have nice figures.

business guys are stereotyped to be hot, but unfortunately, that doesn't seem to be the case with nyu stern...forget hot though, if he's straight, it's good enough for me, that's rare enough around here :D

I would say any of the English or Art major. Maybe you would have more chance to go out with a girl in English major as opposed to one in Physics or Engineering cuz they're all busy studying.
Anyways, instead of creating another thread, what about the guys? What major has the hottest guys?

Art history classes ALWAYS have the hottest girls in them/ Plus, you'll be the only guy in there.

business, economics, psychology, nursing, neuroscience

^ why econ and neuroscience? science majors are usually male dominated, and econ is like 50/50. i'm an econ major, I notice the prettiest girls are often in Psych, Education, any of the humanities majors like English, Art History, Journalism and Communications...Nursing is female dominated, but it's not like girls in that major are particularly pretty (not saying they're ugly, just mostly average!)

I don't see what's wrong with psychology major girls. It's usually the most popular major at most universities, and certainly the most popular for girls at any given uni. It's basically "one standard major" for girls who don't know what else to do. The classes are filled with girls.

Other than that, I agree with English, journalism, humanities stuff, communications or advertising.

I'm heavy in the theatre scene so I will second the opinion that it is a bad idea to date the girls heavily into theatre - lord I knew some girls that turned psycho once their "relationship" personality came out. There are plenty of very hot girls and absolute bedroom freaks in theatre so go ahead and screw them, but don't start a relationship unless you love dealing with a high degree of bs. Many are freaks outside the bedroom. A lot of girls who have hollywood pipedreams or want to be models are theatre majors; I've even talked to some who joked about going into porn, but I'm not sure how much of a joke this really was. This is coming from a theatre guy, lol. By the way, I'm not talking about girls who will do one or two plays, or might do it recreationally to some extent.

I've seen business alot

English/Communication. (dear god)

And that's isn't the worst of it. They then try to use all the deconstructionist craps they learned to debate with you on the merits of Kant's Critique of Judgment (aesthetic) without EVER reading the work. Apparently, there were no Sparknotes for Herr Kant.

I swear, 98% of the English major I know (girls and boys) would flunk college without Sparknotes.

don't date psych girls. they tend to try and use what they learned in class to psyco-analyze everything in a relationship. everything you do has some secret meaning or says something about you that you never intended but their psych book tells them is true.
