This may sound stupid, but…

How do you take your practice tests? In the book, copying copies out of the copy machine, etc.?

Typically straight from the book.

@cheerioswithmilk so you mark in the book and everything?

I just ripped out the answer sheets and actually used them to mimic the real test. I don’t recommend just doing the tests in the books and not bubbling in the answers because you would be giving yourself more time.

I photocopied sections from the BB (Reading sections mostly) because I wanted to mimic the real thing; I now have a few binders of BB tests and QASes that I’ve thoroughly marked up and analyzed. I felt like this helped me quite a bit and the binders will come in handy when I start tutoring some people over the summer.

Yeah, I write straight in the book. I used to use notebook paper to write down the answers, but you can use the answer sheet given if you like.

IF someone could help me, but what are QAS? I feel like that they may be, “Question and Answers”? Also, is it advisable that when you take the test, that you circle the answers in the book and then bubble them all in after?

I write my answers on my looseleaf paper. I like to reuse tests (and I have siblings that will be using the same book as me later on so I wouldn’t be allowed to mark in it even if I wanted to), so I use pencil in my book if I absolutely /have/ to, but then erase afterwards.

Usually though, I have an answer sheet, another sheet of paper to use for scratch work, and then the book. I’m really slow at bubbling in the circles though, so sometimes I practice just that LOL. My cousin had two identical SAT II practice books, and he gave them both to me so I just use the spare answer sheets in there when I want to practice bubbling in answers. .___.

Also, is it advisable that when you take the test, that you circle the answers in the book and then bubble them all in after?
^ Noooooo don’t do that (well, for math and writing at least).

I do that partially for the CR section of the SAT though. I finish all of the questions relating to a passage, and then transfer my answers to my answer sheet so I don’t forget what I’m thinking about. For the other sections though, don’t do it. It’s a waste of time. Just fill in all the answers, then go back to double check them after your done. I’ve tried solving all of the questions and then transferring them to the scantron, but I ended up running out of time and left half of the questions blank, even though I had solved them… :x
